By Train

Nancy is easily accessible by rail, especially from Paris Gare de l’Est (direct), since Nancy is connected by TGV, with a 90-minutes travel time and with a weekday frequency of 11 trains per day (the first train arriving Nancy at 8:48 a.m. and the last train at 9:47 p.m.). Four other daily connections are possible via Metz (with connections from Metz to Nancy by regional trains).

Nancy is also accessible by train from Charles de Gaulle airport with the TGV Paris-Strasbourg line via the Lorraine TGV station (6 TGV per day), from where a shuttle bus takes 40 minutes to reach the city center of Nancy. The same type of TGV connection can reach Nancy from other French cities (Lille, Nantes, Bordeaux, Rennes...), with or without change of TGV in Ile de France Region near Paris (2 or 3 TGV daily).

A connection from the south (via Lyon) is also possible, but with a lower frequency of trains (one train in the morning and one evening train). The routes via Paris or via Strasbourg can be an alternative trajectory.

To reach Nancy by train from the north of Europe, there is a route via Luxembourg (correspondence by regional train from Luxembourg - 90 minutes - via Metz) with trains at least every hour.
